The COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020-21 changed the world as we knew it. Hygiene practices became even more advanced, and consumers became increasingly cognizant of how bacteria and viruses were spread. Due to an early shortage in PPE, Aptar CSP Technologies developed and patented a Chlorine Dioxide strip that, when introduced to moisture, emits a powerful gas that was used to disinfect and reuse medical PPE. Chlore takes this technology, and integrates it into a modular product fit for both civilian, and medical applications.
