Forged is a stylish, custom-made fire-pit, designed with the safety of the user in mind. Designed for the courtyard of the Burren College of Art in Balleyvaughn, Ireland, Forged was a team venture, requiring 5 different designers to draft, model, and fabricate the pit. With only one week to do so, and one sheet of steel for fabrication, Forged would need to meet the demands of our Client, College President Mary Hawkes-Green. Every summer, the college hosts a village-wide event with food, live music, and a large bonfire. So, Forged would not only need to be safe to use, but it also needed to be highly functional, moveable, and durable for the harsh and wet Irish climate.
